Question 1

What are the key technical specifications to consider when sourcing glass fence panels and spigots?

Accepted Answer

Key specifications include glass thickness (e.g., 10mm, 12mm tempered safety glass), panel dimensions, and the grade of stainless steel for spigots (e.g., 304 or 316 marine grade). Buyers should also consider load-bearing capacity and wind resistance ratings to ensure suitability for their specific applications.

Question 2

Which materials and finishes are commonly used for glass fence hardware, and what are their advantages?

Accepted Answer

Stainless steel (304 and 316 grades) is predominantly used for its corrosion resistance and strength, especially 316 for coastal or pool environments. Finishes often include polished, satin, or matte black, offering aesthetic versatility and enhanced durability. HST specializes in high-grade stainless steel components, ensuring longevity and performance.

Question 3

What international compliance standards should glass fence systems meet for safety and durability?

Accepted Answer

Glass fence systems should comply with relevant building codes and safety standards such as AS/NZS 2208 (Australia/New Zealand) for safety glazing materials and ASTM (USA) or CE (Europe) for structural integrity. HST ensures its products meet stringent international quality and safety certifications like ISO9001.

Question 4

How can wholesale buyers ensure quality and competitive pricing when sourcing glass fence components from Chinese manufacturers like HST?
