A380 is the industry standard for decorative aluminium fence components and provides a superior surface finish compared to zinc die-cast alternatives.What tube sizes is the F-MB16 spear compatible with?The F-MB16 Fleur-de-Lis spear is designed to fit over standard aluminium fence pickets of 16 mm × 16 mm square section. The internal socket depth is 25 mm. For pickets of different sizes (12×12, 19×19, or 25×25 mm), we offer the F-MB12, F-MB19, and F-MB25 variants respectively. Custom socket sizes are available for OEM orders of 5,000 pieces or more.What surface finishes are available for the F-MB16 and how durable are they?The F-MB16 is available in mill finish (natural aluminium), anodised silver, anodised black, and powder-coated in any RAL colour. Anodising provides a hard oxide layer of 15–25 μm that is integral to the aluminium surface and will not peel or chip. Powder coating is available in gloss, satin, or matt finish with a coating thickness of 60–80 μm. Both finishes carry a 10-year fade warranty.What is the MOQ for the F-MB16 and can I mix different spear designs?The MOQ for the F-MB16 is 3,000 pieces per design and finish combination. Mixed orders combining different spear designs (Fleur-de-Lis, spear point, ball top, arrow) can be combined to reach the 3,000-piece threshold, provided they share the same finish. For smaller quantities, we can supply from existing stock—please contact us to check availability.How is the F-MB16 spear attached to the fence picket?The F-MB16 slides over the top of the fence picket and is secured using a small amount of structural adhesive or a set screw through the side of the socket. For aluminium-to-aluminium connections, we recommend a neutral-cure silicone adhesive or a stainless steel M4 grub screw. Do not use zinc-based fasteners on aluminium as this can cause galvanic corrosion.Does HST offer custom Fleur-de-Lis designs or OEM tooling?Yes. We have an in-house design team and die-casting facility capable of producing custom decorative spear designs. OEM tooling costs depend on design complexity and are typically amortised over the first production run. Minimum OEM order is 10,000 pieces.
